Under the leadership of the Vice-President, People, Finance & Digital Services, the Division brings together critical services in human resources, labour relations, finance and information technology.
Our Portfolios
University HR supports faculty, librarians, staff, and student employees across U of T’s three campuses. We provide institutional HR services and partner with Divisional HR Offices at every stage of the employee experience — from payroll, benefits, and workplace well-being to leadership development, talent management, HR technology, and organizational effectiveness. We help build an inclusive workplace culture that enables teaching, research, and innovation to thrive.
Labour Relations leads and coordinates collective bargaining, which establishes the terms and conditions of employment for most U of T employees. The Labour Relations team also ensures the effective administration of the University’s many collective agreements and related processes. The University’s complex labour environment sustains ten unions and 30 bargaining units whose members perform important work across our three campuses in diverse roles.
Financial Services supports excellent financial management, sound procurement strategies, and long-term financial sustainability at U of T. We provide guidance, expertise, and best practices to divisions and units, ensuring the consistent, appropriate, and effective use of all financial resources across our three campuses. These resources include operating and research funds as well as trust and capital funds.
Digital Services champions technology that supports excellence in teaching, learning, research, and administration. We strengthen the University’s ability to adapt and evolve our systems and platforms, and are responsible for planning and providing institutional Information Technology Services as well as facilitating IT service delivery across divisions.
